Darjeeling Green Tea
Carefully selected green tea from the famous tea estates of Darjeeling imported by Teekampagne builds the foundation of our Kombucha. Darjeeling is a magical place embedded between Bhutan and Nepal in the Lesser Himalaya at an altitude of over 2000 m. The high altitude and the long tradition of tea plantations produce the high-quality tea known as Champagne among teas. We use it as the foundation for our Kombucha.
Pear
Different Swiss grown pear sorts offer flavor spectrum reaching from sweet to sour to mildly spicy. The precious juice from Swiss pear classics complement the sweeter quince flavor. Together with the fermented flavors from the Kombucha we obtain a well balanced and delicious flavor profile.
Quince
The quince, a fruit which has been less appreciated in modern times despite its intense fragrant aroma and tart flavor. It has been used throughout history as food, typically marmalade and for schnapps, but the tree is also grown for its attractive pale pink blossoms. The fruit is high in vitamin C, copper and iron with rich essential oils.
Naturally Fermented
We use a proprietary blend of organic sugars to feed our Kombucha culture during the fermentation process. The probiotic culture processes this sugar during the fermentation and creates tasty acids and other byproducts instead.
