On the 8th of October 2024, nÿcha reached an exciting milestone by appearing on Die Höhle der Löwen Schweiz on 3+. 🎉✨ This was a huge opportunity for us to share our journey with our national audience 🇨🇭 and introduce the world to nÿcha kombucha, our refreshing and health-conscious beverage 🌍.

 

 



Why Die Höhle der Löwen (Dragon's Den)?

Appearing on Die Höhle der Löwen Schweiz was a unique chance for us to present the nÿcha story on a national stage. With the Swiss kombucha market growing rapidly, we believe this is just the beginning. Experts predict the European kombucha market will grow by 25% over the next five years, reaching a value of $1.4 billion. We are ready to take nÿcha beyond Switzerland, and Die Höhle der Löwen Schweiz has connected us with investors who share our passion for healthy, sustainable beverages.

During the programme, Patrick Switzer, our founder shared our story – from discovering kombucha as a professional athlete to establishing nÿcha in Wettingen, Switzerland in 2017. And it didn’t stop there. Our innovative approach and delicious flavours won over Dr. Felix Bertram, one of Switzerland’s most respected investors. 🍃

He was thrilled and said: ‘Not too sweet, really tasty and, thanks to the fermentation, also healthy.’ What he found particularly exciting was that he had never tried a kombucha that he really liked, but with nÿcha it was different: ‘This is the first kombucha that has really convinced me.’ 🍃 His partnership is a big step towards further expanding nÿcha both nationally and internationally and introducing more people to conscious consumption through the refreshing and complex flavours of nÿcha kombucha. 🍋🍏🍐💧

 


Next Steps

This investment deal marks a significant milestone for nÿcha, as we aim to strengthen our presence in the Swiss market and prepare for expansion into Europe. Our production uses only fair-trade, organic, and, where possible, local ingredients—such as quince fruit from Humbel Hof in Stetten, Aargau and organic fruits from Zug and the Valais. 🌱 Currently, nÿcha is available in five different flavours at over 800 points of sale, including Coop, Alnatura, and Farmy💜
